Birthdays

There is something about a beach birthday that gets my heart a flutter. Last year I was asked to dress up as Princess Ariel (a birthday girl request I couldn't refuse) and make a cake; this year cupcakes!!

 Last year at my niece Akiya's 6th annual beach Birthday! Her one request was that I be Ariel she's a doll I had to say yes! 
This year when I was asked to make some cupcakes for Sweet Lily's first birthday I wanted them to be beautiful......thus began the flower lollipops her birthday theme was the butterfly

I wish I had kept some they were so pretty

I had an idea that I would be able to frost these cupcakes with my cookie press but turns out I need practice frosting I couldn't get the swirl on top. I have confirmed butter cream as my favorite icing to make, to use, and to eat!!
Next time ~~ A paper mache pig! I can't wait to finish it!!

AHHHHhhhhh

My son is asleep, my husband is out, I should be doing homework instead I'm stealing a moment to relax and breath. Two weeks and the Spring semester is done! Between homework and hobbies I have been swamped. I haven't finished all my projects yet but I've made some real progress and I think that I've learned that I need to do one craft at a time, instead of trying to juggle it all.
On the plus side I used my sewing machine for the first time ~~ I love YouTube!!
My sister introduced me to the world of Bunting and I made a birthday banner for a very sweet little one year old.

This was really a blast to make and came about on a whim, I had some stencils and an idea then voila`, beautiful!

I have another birthday surprise I'll have to post later!

An Update!

My eggs ~ I have about 60 total not all have been decoupaged but I'm nearly there. I ran out of wired ribbon so I have to hit the store tomorrow or wait until next Easter.
